Mijn zwager en ik kwamen er vanmiddag niet uit. Of we nou in een Zweedse drama-film van Ingmar Bergman hadden rondgelopen of in een 'draak' van Danielle Steele.
Het lijkt wel alsof iedereen gewoon maar dood gaat.
Lees ik net dat Paul Huf is overleden. Omstreden fotograaf met een buitengewoon vakmanschap. Ja. Dat is meesterschap ja.
Rare samenloop van omstandigheden is dat mijn 'meester'-in-de-Foto-Restauratie NET, vorige week, het hele uit elkaar vallende archief van Paul Huf heeft afgekregen. Gerepareerd, gedupliceerd en er allerlei ingewikkelde zaken mee gedaan (die ik nog graag wil leren) waardoor dat archief NU, en wel ONMIDDELLIJK reproduceerbaar is. Hij heeft de afgelopen maanden werkelijk prachtig werk verricht! Hulde aan meneer Kort! Misschien komen we binnenkort nog ergens, op een tentoonstelling, een foto tegen die niet zo mooi zou zijn gedrukt zonder zijn inspanning.
Het is alleen jammer dat meneer Huf het zelf niet meer heeft kunnen zien. Het zou vast een geruststelling voor hem zijn geweest.
En wat mijn eigen verhaal rond dood en begrafenis betreft: het spijt me. Te vers. En ik ben te moe. Weet iemand nog een boek wat je zonder al te veel opborrelende gevoelens kunt lezen? Ik heb Bridget Jones al herlezen van de week. Graag meer van dit soort onschuldig tijdverdrijf.
