08/27/2002 Entry: "vrouwen-dinsdag"

In het vorige televisieseizoen was ie al beroemd: de dinsdagavond van Net5. Ally McBeal, Sex & the City en daarna de Gilmore Girls.
Tuurlijk hing ik iedere avond voor de dinsdagavondbuis. Vooral voor Sex & the City want sinds Ally een kind en een soort van man had, was de lol er voor mij wel af. Na Sex and... kwam de Gilmore girls. Ik heb een serieuze poging gedaan deze serie leuk te vinden. Maar eerlijk gezegd werd ik er alleen maar doodnerveus van. Leuke acteurs en best een lollig script, daar niet van, maar die hoofdrolspeelster Lauren Graham kreeg het voor elkaar dat ik na een minuut of 5 zat te stuiteren op de bank. Die mevrouw kan namelijk niet normaal praten. Ze ramt er staccato allerlei spitsvondigheden uit en is me veel te opgewekt. Ademhalen tussen 2 zinnen doet ze niet en de ene one-liner volgt op de ander. Ze heeft op mij hetzelfde effekt als Lebbis en Jansen. Totaal uitgeput en hijgerig kun je me bij elkaar vegen. Do-de-lijk vermoeiend.
De Gilmore Girls moeten dit seizoen het gemis van Ally opvangen. Nou: forget it but! Dat lukt nooit, dat weet ik nu al. En al helemaal niet als je in ieder tijdschrift en krant een interview plaatst met Lauren en er doodleuk bij vermeld dat het dus de bedoeling is dat Miss Gilmore Ally gaat vervangen.

Na een blik op het Net5-overzicht van vanavond werd ik nog somberder. Want rond Gilmore en de herhalingen van Sex and..... hebben de dames en heren van de programmeer-afdeling wel iets heel unieks bedacht. Je hoort ze denken: vrouwenavond is vrouwenavond en wat vinden vrouwen nog meer leuk behalve sex en relatiegedoe? Juist: ziekenhuizen en bevallingen.
Kijk nou eens naar dit overzichtje:
20.00 uur: Little Miracles Docu over de kinderafdeling van een ziekenhuis in Toronto.
20.30 uur: Gilmore girls
21.25 uur: Will & Grace
21.50 uur: Sex and.... (herhalingen)
22.30 uur: Maternity ward. Engelse docu-soap (Yuck!) waarin een beeld wordt geschetst van zwangere vrouwen die zich voorbereiden op de bevalling en het leven dat daarna komt.

Zijn ze nou helemaal belatafeld! Moet dit idiote lijstje onze traditionele vrouwenavond voorstellen? Herhalingen en geratel van Gilmore-moeder, tussen de zieke kinderen en bevallingen.

Ik loop over naar RTL4. Daar komt om 22.30 het Homoparadijs. Dat zal best ook een behoorlijke ranzigheidsgraad hebben (ik vermoed iets als -Door het Lint- of -Jambers-) maar aan dat vrouwengedoe doe ik niet meer mee.
Ik kan ook om 20.30 voor de 15-de keer naar Close Encouters of The Third Kind kijken.
En misschien moet ik mij eens gaan verdiepen in penalty's en buiten-spel. Kan ik voortaan met de mannenavond meedoen.
