09/19/2002 Entry: "magnolia"
Op de pot stond "MAGNOLIA".
Verf. De hele woonkamer is magnolia. En als u denkt dat mijn huis veranderd is in een Rebirthing-Hut, dan heeft u het mis. Want magnolia staat, naast de naam van een plant EN een prachtige film, voor een fijn zacht kleurtje dat samen met het door de Univerf (ja, die lieve mensen van het Gerard Douplein) gefabriekte Spierwit voor een aangename frisse wind zorgt. Spierwit betekent trouwens wit-met-wat-blauw-erdoor. Ik wist ook niet dat spieren wit zijn maar de inhoud van de pot Spierwit klinkt in elk geval als sneeuw en schoon en blank en maagdelijk. Mooi. Maar dit huis is alles behalve maagdelijk. Op de plek waar nu de tafel staat, lanceerde ik ooit mijn tweede kind. En die tafel is ook al drie keer van plaats veranderd. Inclusief de 2 lampen die er boven hangen. De oranje bank gaat eruit en er komt een nieuwe. Een slaapbank. Zomaar van de straat geraapt en met wat IKEA-gefrobel heel handig voor overblijvend gebuurte. Of als tekenbank. Want dat onoogelijke tafeltje op wielen (ook van de straat) blijft. Tekenen aan tafel is namelijk helemaal niet fijn. Op de bank, met een boterham ernaast, is veel fijner.
De witte gordijnen gaan naar de stomerij. Ik heb geen idee of ze er weer iets als WIT van kunnen maken maar dat zien we dan wel weer. Er komt een nieuwe boekenkast. Zijn idee om alle boeken te verbannen naar het atelier is met luid boe-geroep ontvangen. Als ik 's nachts niet kan slapen wil ik namelijk een gerustellend boek uit de kast kunnen trekken. Twee trams of 30 minuten fietsen gaat me te ver. Dus gaat hij zich nu buigen over een plank-constructie of nog een bezoek aan de IKEA.
Maar dit zijn allemaal omtrekkende bewegingen. Want de hoofdmoot begint vrijdagavond. Want dan gaat de vloer eruit. En daar zit ik zo verschrikkelijk tegenaan te hikken, dat ik u nu lastig moet vallen met binnenhuis-geneuzel. OSB-ondervloer komt erin. In de volksmond genaamd: "de atelier-vloer". Prachtig hout in grote platen. Moet 4 keer gelakt hoorde ik vandaag van de Lak-meneer. "Maar dan heeft u ook wat." Het zal best. Volgende week zal het allemaal euforisch mooi en prachtig zijn. Maar nu wil ik eigenlijk alleen maar m'n huis terug. Ik zet nu als toppunt van zelfkwelling, nog 1 keer de Ketchup-Song op. En dan ga ik slapen in mijn slaapkamer, vol met dozen van de ontmantelde boekenkast. Want m'n bed staat er tenminste nog.
