02/08/2002 Entry: "HUISELIJK LEED"

Het is weer raak. Ik zit me weer eens vreselijk opwinden over het wel en vooral wee rond onze behuizing.

Boven een bakkerij wonen had al zo zijn nadelen. Maar gelukkig heeft Bakker zijn Bakwerkzaamheden een tijd geleden uitbesteed. Geen gestamp meer 's nachts. Mooi.

Aan ons kleine Amsterdamse K*T-balkonnetje grenst een zooitje afdakjes van de verschillende winkelpanden om ons heen. Zo ook het dak van de voormalige bakkerij.

Zo'n rijtje dakjes is best handig. Zo kunnen wij, in geval van brand of andere enge dingen zo over ons balkon heen stappen op het dakje van de bakker.
Onze kat is er ook erg blij mee. Hij loopt, via balkon en diverse afdakken de hele 'binnenkant' van ons woonblok rond. Hij kan ook nog eens wat bevriende katten-uit-de-buurt uitnodigen. Ook zij kunnen via afdak fijn ons huis in om brokjes te eten, te vechten, te slapen op onze bank. Onze kinderen kunnen nooit van het balkon afstorten WANT afdakje aanwezig.
Allemaal goed. Allemaal prima.

Maar nu:
De nieuwste eigenaar van Bakkerij heeft een woest plan bedacht. Hij is de voormalige bakwerkplaats aan het ombouwen tot woonhuis. Goed idee! Het geeft al weken wat lawaai op de vreemdste tijden, maar als er een einde aan zit, kan ik best wat hebben.

Gisteren trof ik een jongeman op het afdakje aan die me in gebrekkig engels wist te vertellen dat het dakje er af ging.
Oh.
En ja, tot 23.00 uur gisteravond was het gedoe van jewelste.
Vanochtend hing er nog een eenzame balk te zweven. Verder een Enorm Gat.
Over die eenzame balk was onze KAT wel vanochtend vertrokken richting katten-avontuur.
En die eenzame balk hing daar natuurlijk niet voor de eeuwigheid.

Afijn.
KAT aan andere kant van Enorm Gat, eenzame balk weg. Conclusie: maar eens even met Kind II naar de bakker om KAT binnen te halen. Wel eens een over-de-zeik-zijnde KAT proberen vast te houden in een propvolle bakkerswinkel met een kind van 3 om je benen? Dat valt in de categorie: Heel Boeiende Ervaring.

Natuurlijk lukt zoiets allemaal. Daar zit ik me ook niet over op te winden. Ik zit me op te winden over het zinnetje van het meisje-van-de-bakker:

"Maak je maar geen zorgen, er komt weer een nieuw dak op hoor. Dan kan je kat gewoon weer naar buiten. Mijn baas gaat namelijk een KANTOOR bouwen op de plek waar dat dak zat. Het wordt alleen allemaal wat hoger."

Parrrdon? Dus als ik het goed begrijp gaat de man een Kantoor bouwen tegen ons balkon aan? Zodat er geen zon of licht meer naar binnenkan en ons kleine Amsterdamse uitzichtje verandert in een Blinde Muur?

"Ehm, dat weet ik ook niet hoor? Dat moet u mijn baas maar even vragen."

En weet je wat ik nou zo ongelofelijk lullig vind?
Dat die meneer met zijn bouwplannen niet gewoon even komt melden wat hij wil. Dat hij gewoon maar doet waar hij zin in heeft en bij voorbaat de relatie met zijn nieuwe buren verpest.

Want je dacht toch niet dat ik in het telefoonboek het nummer van de Welstandscommissie niet kon vinden?
Of dat ik geen Makelaar heb die de waarde van zijn huis ineens drastisch ziet dalen?
Of dat ik een mak schaap ben wat zich alles laat welgevallen?

Dus oorlog komt er toch. Had ook anders gekund.
Dan had ik me op vrijdagochtend over andere dingen kunnen opwinden. Of iets feestelijks kunnen doen.
